Raycus Laser, a company based in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC), has launched four new laser devices showcasing globally leading features at the 25th China International Industry Fair (CIIF), currently taking place from Sept 23 to 27.
Founded in 2007, Raycus Laser is a pioneer in the development and production of fiber lasers in China. In 2013, the company developed China's first 10,000-watt continuous fiber laser, overcoming critical technological challenges and achieving significant breakthroughs in laser sources and core components.
Raycus Laser's General Manager, Chen Xingxing, introduced the new products at the 25th CIIF. These are primarily designed for industrial manufacturing applications, including cutting, welding, and additive manufacturing, and represent the latest advancements in Chinese fiber laser technology.
The company's high-end "Chinese System Fiber Lasers" are now widely used in sectors such as aerospace, new energy vehicles, and shipbuilding, with products sold in over 80 countries and regions. Remarkably, Raycus Laser's revenue has grown nearly a hundredfold, from 34 million yuan ($4.77 million) in 2010 to 3.2 billion yuan in 2024.
As a global leader in the industry, OVC is home to over 200 laser companies. It boasts a complete industrial chain, from laser sources and components to finished products, commanding a significant share of the global market.
